We represent a well established and highly reputable Australian-owned commercial furniture manufacturer.  Placing particular emphasis on their operations being local, flexible and environmentally sustainable, they are proud to represent an extensive product portfolio covering the Commercial and Hospitality markets.  From leading corporations through to Government departments and the Specification sector (covering Australia\'s leading Architectural & Design Practices), their commitment to, and respect for good old-fashioned hard work has enabled them to develop a loyal client base.  With aggressive plans for expansion in 2009, an additional sales resource is sought to join the team during this exciting time.  Although the immediate need is for a Sales Executive, there is an opportunity for progression in to Sales Management within a defined timeframe for the successful applicant.

The Role

Representing a portfolio of commercial furniture encompassing workstations, task, executive, meeting & visitor seating, tables and storage solutions your role will be focused on both new business development as well as ongoing account management.   Your client portfolio will consist of both Architectural & Interior Design firms as well as End-User clients across the corporate sector.  Your client base will be broad, and day to day you will be liaising with Interior Designers, Architects, Project Managers, Facility & Procurement Managers and other levels of senior management.  You will be responsible for identifying project opportunities utilizing a combination of market intelligence tools and networking activities, and will track a project opportunity from beginning to end ensuring that all relevant influencing parties and decision makers are addressed.  This role will require you to take detailed project briefs, interpret floor-plans & FF&E schedules, prepare tender documentation and detailed quotations, as well as be at ease in presenting to clients in a range of forums (i.e. meetings, group presentations & seating⁄product training). Your success will be measure on achieving sales targets and set KPIs.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with:

Base Salary from $65,000-70,000 + Super + Car Allowance

Selection Criteria

In order to be successful in your application you must hold a number of years experience selling commercial furniture in to the Architectural & Design sector within Victoria.  A sound understanding of the Specification ⁄ Fitout arena combined with a comprehensive knowledge of the technical aspects of commercial furniture will put you in good stead, as will your extensive network of contracts across the A&D, Construction and Corporate sectors.  Results oriented and highly motivated, you will possess excellent communication, interpersonal & presentation skills to influence others.  A strong track record of sales success in both account management and new business development is critical to be considered for this opportunity.  As this role will see you working independently, you will need to be highly autonomous, self-motivated and have a highly targeted approach to identifying project opportunities.  A path for career progression will be clearly defined for candidates possessing the relevant industry experiences, so if you are an experienced Specification Sales Rep seeking an opportunity to step up into a Sales Management role then this opportunity should not be overlooked.
